If Democrats and the Progressive Left were the ones actively pushing for an Article V Convention to propose Amendments to the U.S. Constitution on the same topics Convention of States® proposes, the conservative, right-minded folks would view their efforts with suspicion; and conservatives would oppose not just because it is something proposed by Democrats, it would be because: even though those topics are appealing, **we can't trust Democrat motives and hidden agendas**.
Therefore, **if Democrats are not opposing an Convention of States Article V Convention application and quietly supporting one, that ought to be viewed with as much suspicion as if they are actively promoting it.**
Why? Because as great as those 3 topics sound and make folks feel, be assured Establishment Democrats and RINOs are seeking to benefit in ways that may seem like unintended consequences, but also may be more likely Establishment Intended Consequences.
The fact that **in Delaware the only way an Article V application resolution can pass is with support of the Democrat majority in Delaware**, that ought to be raise question as to why, what is in it for them?
We know the Democrat Left have agenda and end goal that does not align with the conservative constitutionalist mindset. Delaware should not throw an application into the hat just to help make the numbers, and hope conservative states will offset Delaware in terms of what a Democrat Left-oriented delegation would likely represent Delaware.
That should be enough to give deep consideration and take an opportunity to take a more careful look at the risks of convening a Convention to propose Amendments, and the subsequent ratification process that would all ultimately be hinging Democrat and Progressive Left support.
